June 1st

Was my last post?!?! We have had a seriously busy summer! So tonight I will leave you with a bulleted list of what has been going on in our house!

• We returned from China on May 31st. 
• On June 6th we got a call from Houston to come to Texas because Justin's dad had had a massive heart attack...cue panicking and packing! We spent 10 days in Texas in June. It was a crazy and at times stressful trip but everything came out okay and we are lucky to still have him with us.
• We flew back to Hawaii and had a crazy few weeks at home. I got to work in my classroom, Justin worked a lot to make up for the time he was off, and Claire tried to get back into a normal schedule. 
• We spent tons of time at the beach and pool.
• Claire turned a year old on July 8th. We celebrated with a party at our house. We had a small group of friends over...and by small I mean it was no Hawaiian birthday party! Some people here throw HUGE parties for their kids. There was no bounce house- which is literally present at all parties here...maybe next year! HA
• We flew to Texas to visit family and friends...Claire was horrible and I cried in the plane bathroom! Seriously it was horrible and I'm thinking I'll never fly alone again with her.

That's the very short version of it! I will be back to blogging and staying more on top of things. My mom is moving in with us until Claire can get into a CDC. She has been on the list since last September so I hope the process starts picking up soon.
