Pumpkin Patch 2013

This weekend we went to the Waimanalo County Farms pumpkin patch. It's the 3rd year we have gone here and it just gets better every year.

I bought these adorable outfits off Etsy from Chloe Belle's Closet. Super cute and probably not practical for Hawaii weather at the pumpkin patch, but I didn't care. I figured we wouldn't be there for a super long time.
This year they had the animals set up different and we got to go in this cute little house before heading down a row of animals to feed. Having a giant stroller I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, but sometimes the pictures just have to not be the priority. Claire enjoyed feeding the tiny goats with Justin and looking at the baby pigs, the cow and the dogs.

We stopped by the new refreshment stand and got some yummy lemonade in huge mason jars. All three girls approved and were happy to be in the shade for a little bit. We also enjoyed some fudge and popcorn...and I think Justin had a random chili dog at 10:30 am.
I knew that none of the girls were going to willingly sit in the dirt and get their pictures taken so I was smart and brought a blanket. I found a nice stack of pumpkins, sat the girls down and took their pictures.

I love them even if none of them have all three girls looking or smiling. We are too busy around here for all of that. We went out to lunch after the pumpkin patch and our friends Jamie and Deuane asked us how we tell the twins apart I noticed they were wearing the wrong shirts! We apparently can't tell them apart!! I semi-joked with Justin that we had to go back and retake pictures in the right shirts.

Always next year :)

First Solo Trip

When we were home in June I decided that I was going to go visit my sister...

without kids or Justin!

Justin is going to be going away for awhile and I figured that since I will be mommy and daddy, he could probably handle it for 5 days. And he did. Wonderfully.

I flew to LA on a Wednesday afternoon and met Lydia {BFF since 4th grade} at the airport. Kim and Jared were there to pick us up and off we went to begin our weekend away.

Thursday we were all alone to explore while Kim and Jared worked. We left their house and walked towards Beverly Hills with only a phone and a house key. Apparently, Hawaii has made me so awkward and I don't know how to function in a big city. I was quickly introduced to the Uber app on my iPhone and was able to call a car to come get us with the click of a button.

Lydi and I ventured to lunch and walked to the grove to shop around while they were still working. We ended up meeting Kim for drinks and then headed to the house to pick up Jared for more drinks and dinner at a mexican food restaurant.

Friday Kim and Jared took off and we took our time getting dressed. We went to lunch at a cute little spot, walked down Hollywood Blvd, had drinks at the Roosevelt Hotel and then went to Santa Monica later that day. We went to the pier, shopped, went to happy hour and then to dinner at a yummy seafood place.

Saturday we got up and hiked to the Griffith Observatory where we could see all of LA. We went to Chick Fil A for lunch and drove to Malibu. Happy hour overlooking the ocean was relaxing and then we went to a cute rustic winery. It was yummy!

It was seriously weird not cutting up food for anyone, getting to sleep in past 7 am and not having to change diapers all weekend. It was also way too quiet in their house the first night. I had a really hard time sleeping. I'm thinking for Christmas Justin might get a noise machine because I can see that being a problem for him when he's gone...or maybe not?!?! ;)

Skype Date with L

The other day Claire and I got to Skype with some of our favorite people. Claire hasn't been awake the last few times I have Skyped with L and Kortnee so it was so cute when she saw them. She was squealing and jumping around. We miss you! Love you!

Claire Meets Sawyer

Claire doesn't know what to do when she meets someone her own size. When she met this way too cute for words, blonde hair, blue eyed little dude she cried...until she realized he was so stinkin' cute. We have been looking at his pictures for a year and just dreaming of the day we could actually squeeze him and see his parents of course. When I was about 7 months pregnant Justin got to meet him when he was in San Diego. Being extremely jealous I just hoped I would get to see him before he was 18. Sawyer's daddy, Adam, worked with Justin on the Pasadena and I met his mommy, Kate, through a mutual friend. Justin and Adam are trouble :) and Kate and I- who haven't ever hung out more than like 3 times but email all the time- never had a quiet moment. It seemed like we had been friends for years and just picked right up where our emails left off.

Claire and Sawyer had multiple meetings, playtime, supervised dates- whatever you want to call them. We went to dinner together, hung out at the pool, they came over for dinner, and we went to Puka Dog to say good-bye! Sawyer taught Claire how to stick out her tongue- thanks Sawyer! We had so much fun with their little family. I wish they were closer so we could watch these two grow up together. I'm already looking at plane tickets to go to San Diego...

Gymboree

Today Claire and I went to a free class at the Gymboree by us. We went to the level one class but are going to try a level two class next week before we decide to buy a membership there. The class was fun and cute but I think the next class up will be better. It should be more active and fun for her. She was the oldest in the class today and wanted to move around. She did enjoy the bubble part more than when we do bubbles at home. She also enjoyed laying on her back under the parachute.

Unroe Christmas

When "my (littlest) kiddos" were the same age as Claire I started helping Carrie with them. Aaron and Kaity are now 9 and Megan is 11. They are so big it's really hard to believe. Megan is taller than me, Kaity talks a mile a minute, and Aaron is still all boy.

We do Christmas with them every year. This year was fun because the three of them with Claire is the best. They all love holding her and making her laugh.

Aaron is into Legos and hunting so he got a Lego set and a giftcard to Academy. He shot a hog a few weeks ago. My little boy used a gun. I almost died when I saw the picture.

Megan is at such a fun age. I don't know what it is about her but she is a really great kid. We got her scarf (which I wanted but it isn't practical for Hawaii) and a gift card to Buckle. She is always dressed so cute and it's one of her favorite stores. Maybe I need to check it out more. She is probably the one who gets to hold Claire the most. I don't think she likes to share!

Kaity told me she wanted scrapbooking stuff. I love scrapbooking so I was happy to go and pick her up some stuff. She was so excited when she opened her gift that she took everything apart and already made her first page. It was titled "Spending time with Claire". Seriously so cute. I could just steal her and bring her back to Hawaii with me. I'm sure Carrie wouldn't mind....yeah right! She got Claire a stuffed animal from her Santa's Secret Shop at school. Just another example of how cute she is! She wrapped it and everything.

I love these kiddos and their parents. Come to Hawaii soon please!!!!

A Party for Claire

We were supposed to get together with everyone I had babysat growing up two weekends ago, but LaLa aka Lori got sick. We moved the event to this past Monday night and everyone came over to see Claire. It was hard to believe that they are all so big! I haven't seen most of them since our wedding in 2008 so it was good to get together with everyone.

Claire will never suffer from anyone not paying attention to her! She is such a good baby though (and I'm not just saying that because she is mine) she lets everyone hold her and never cries unless she is really tired or hungry.

This is probably one of the cutest pictures from the night that I have. She fell asleep and Mr. Tom wanted to hold her. Lori asked to hold her and he told her no. Poor Claire, everyone wants to hold you. Rough life, stinker!

Serious Catch Up!

This is going to take awhile and probably a few posts to catch up on everything we have been doing and taking pictures of since Thanksgiving!

Claire and I have been in Texas for 2 1/2 weeks now and we are having a great time! We have gotten together with tons of people and Claire is enjoying her first trip here. These aren't all of the people she has met. I have forgotten my camera and we have just randomly run into people. I am now carrying my camera around with me so that if we run into someone we can document her first meeting with the people most important to us.

She has been a very happy baby and pretty much let everyone hold her...that is unless she is overly tired and grumpy. She has finally gotten back on her sleep schedule and is doing great. Tutu, my mom, has been getting up with her in the middle of the night if she wakes up. I feed her around 5 and she goes back down for about 3 more hours. We are all happy about that!

Today we are off to meet Santa! We went the other day but Santa is diabetic and had to cut the line off right in front of us. Seriously.
