With Justin on shore duty I have no desire to do anything! I'll admit that shore duty is nice and I highly enjoy him being home basically all the time but it is not productive. I take that back it is productive but everything gets done so quickly now because there are an extra set of hands to feed, hold, and play with Claire that by the end of the day we can watch a movie or a TV show and head to bed. So while I use to stay up late after her bedtime and do things like blog I just never want to I guess. I do want to get better about this though because I want to make the blog entries into a book after her first birthday. So here we go...
February 14th was just another day for us. We have never had a big celebration or gift exchange on Valentine's except two years ago when we bought Winston. We were going to stay downtown our first Valentine's in Hawaii and I asked to stop in the pet store. We had been so many times and never thought twice about any of the dogs until we saw Winston. Since we were going downtown we bought him but he stayed there until Sunday morning. It basically ruined our weekend at the hotel because I just wanted to go play with him on Saturday. He is a funny dog and has the weirdest personality. He watches TV, loves treats, loves walks, going in the car, licking Claire, following us around, has the worst gas, barks at the walls, and does a strange army roll. He almost died when he was 2 months old but our vet and us kept him alive and got him over his sickness. We found out he was allergic to almost every food except beef and he has horrible feet issues. He is probably one of the most high maintenance dogs ever but we love him. He knew I was pregnant before I did, followed me around all the time, slept next to my belly, checked on Claire when she was an infant, and still sits by her just so she can pet him. We love him! Happy Winniversary :)
It was also Claire's first Valentine's day. We got her some learning toys from Lakeshore, a bathing suit, and some socks. I forgot to take her picture with them before it was bed time but she loved all her new stuff. She has been fascinated by the toys from Lakeshore. I think because they are so bright and fun. I love getting the magazine from there. I'm planning out things we will get for her so that she is the smartest little person in her class at Navy Hale Keiki :)
