Claire is cutting her first tooth and it now explains why she was having interrupted sleep last week. We have been thinking she was teething since she was like 3 months because of her excessive drool but now it's just out of control. She's constantly wet, her neck is slimy, and no matter how many times we wipe her she seems to always be covered in grossness. Finally this past weekend we can see why. She won't open up for us so one person holds her while the other forces her mouth open. There it was: a little white and very sharp TOOTH! It would explain the waking up in the night, chewing on everything, and the constantly being soaked.
Today she has been super grumpy and whiney all day long. We had Gymboree this morning and thank God she was too occupied to even think about her mouth hurting. We have now watched one episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and we are currently watching her favorite Elmo's World.
In other news: We had to lower her crib last week because of her almost falling over the edge since she can apparently pull herself up. Well today during nap time I put her down on her stomach and then I heard crying 45 minutes later. She had somehow gotten up into the sitting position. How? Who knows? I got her out of bed, put Baby Orajel on and then cuddled on the couch while she slept and I caught up on the DVR.
