Dear Claire,
You are 7 months old today! I am watching you watch your new favorite show, Elmo and can’t believe how big you are getting. Over the past month you have made so many changes. You are sitting up by yourself all the time now and really don’t fall over at all unless you reach too far out in front of you for a toy. We keep noticing that when we put you in one spot you always make your way across your mat. You’re getting fast! When you are on your tummy you are trying to scoot yourself and grab onto the mat to pull yourself around. You are also loving standing up. You pull up when someone holds your hands or if we stand you up next to something you bounce your legs up and down. It makes me nervous that you will walk before you crawl.
Since we went to the doctor last month you started eating fruits and vegetables. We started with vegetables and you love them now! You also really love the sweet fruits., your least favorite is peaches. We have been giving you sippy cups of water, bananas mashed up and daddy thinks it’s okay to give you ice-cream or pickles!
The biggest move you have made is drinking from a bottle. You wouldn’t do it for so long and now it’s all you do. It made mommy cry and you cry in the long process but you finally love drinking from the bottle and it gives mommy and you some freedom from each other.
We got you your first passport this month! We are going to go see Tutu and Pop in China in a few months. Your picture was really cute and as soon as we get it back we will book a ticket. Another first was going to Gymboree. We tried a class and it was a little slow so we are going to try another one next week. I hope this one is more fun and you have fun.
I just can’t get over how fun you are and how much personality is being shown to us. You make funny faces at us and have the saddest faces when you get mad. You have changed so much in the past month and I’m excited for you to start getting those legs moving since you have been rocking back in forth in the crawling position.
We love you Stinker,
Mommy and Daddy
