Cereal

Claire had her first taste of cereal this week! We went to the doctor last week and she said we could go ahead and try it. It went better then I expected for sure. I made it veryyy runny- to be honest probably too runny. It was just liquid on a spoon. Today I made it a little thicker and she didn't have a problem except she wants to grab the spoon and help me...hmm...I found this cute splat mats and got one for a friend. I could possibly be investing in one (or maybe a couple because they are cute) for us.

You can use them for so much more then catching food that gets spilled, tossed, or batted out of the way by a small child. I'm thinking arts and crafts when the time comes, but that's just the teacher in me.

I have been letting Claire sit in her highchair and play with toys while I'm doing stuff in the kitchen and it seems to be helping her adjust to sitting in the chair. She wasn't too happy to be sitting in it at first. I'm just excited Justin can feed her a meal or two a day! I need to start researching how long I should feed her cereal and when to bump up the amount. She's growing that's for sure and I'm not sure how I feel about that!
