4 Months

November 8^th,  2010

Dear Claire,

Today you are four months old! We watch your little personality and can’t believe how big you are getting. It’s really hard to remember what our life was like without you and it was just a few months ago!

This month you were busy! You keep rolling from your back to your tummy, but can’t get back over which makes you frustrated. You laughed for the first time and it caught mommy and daddy off guard we didn’t know what to do. You did it just a few more times and really haven’t done it since. You are starting to grab at toys and we don’t have to pry your hand open for you to hold things. You love your hands in your mouth and are drooling- I think you might be starting to get ready for some teeth. We took you to the doctor at the end of the month for a cold. You weighed 13 pounds!

We celebrated your first holidays with us! First was mommy’s 25^th birthday. You were the best present this year. Then we celebrated Halloween. You dressed up all month in fun little outfits, but on Halloween you were a skunk! You and Lorelai were matching best friend skunks and Grant was a pumpkin. It is always fun to watch the three of you play together.

Biggest news: You took your first airplane ride! You did really great on the airplane! Your first trip was sitting in first class thanks to Pop and his frequent flyer miles. Everyone said you were well behaved and you were the cutest baby.  At the end of the month mommy and you took a trip to see Aunt Kim in LA. She is doing an internship with Rachel Zoe and we had so much fun! We got to see where Aunt Kim lives, works, and all the things to do there. We did go shopping and you even sat in the big seat of your stroller. I thought it would be more comfy for you. In LA everyone thought you were Aunt Kim’s baby…we knew you looked like her before you were even born though so it wasn’t a shock!

As November started mommy realized that it was almost a year ago that we found out we were going to have a baby. We never thought it would happen so fast and we couldn’t have been more excited. You have brought so much joy to us and we love you.

Next month will be filled with your first Thanksgiving and second plane ride to Texas! We can’t wait to see everyone and have them meet you.
