Big Girl Room

When we moved we decided it was time for Claire to get a big girl bedroom so that she would be adjusted before her world was rocked. I started looking on Pinterest and then started looking for furniture in Houston this summer. When we got back to Hawaii we moved in and got to ordering furniture from Young America. They said it would be delivered in December, but it got delivered 2 months early!

We got busy one day setting up all her stuff and she's in love with her big girl bed. It's her favorite place to snuggle, read a book, and jump around. At first she wasn't too crazy about getting out of the bed, but now she will get out in the middle of the night to come get us or when she wakes up in the morning she will walk in and announce "I'm awake now!".

I love her big girl room so much! It's bright and fun and the best part is we recycled most of the stuff from her old room. We repainted the shelfs, repainted canvases, used the cute picture frames we already had, and put some baskets of toys up there that she can play with if someone else is upstairs doing something. We used her artwork and even got some new artwork in Texas this summer that was bright and fun! The bedding came from Pottery Barn teen and I think I bought it because I secretly just love it myself.

I can't believe she's such a big girl and soon she will be 2 1/2 and a big sister to 2 little people! We also got a new glider for the "that my baby sisters room". She has been rocked in it twice at her request saying she wants to swing in the baby sister room. I've also found her in it a few times all by herself. It's huge and so comfy. I can just imagine being in the chair with all three of our girls.
