Halloween 2012: I'm a "hecock"

This year Claire was a peacock or if you ask her a "hecock". She had several opportunities to wear her costume this year and she was so cute in it. I love Halloween and already found what the Brown family of 5 might be next year. Justin is thrilled :)

The weekend before Halloween we took her to the Children's Discovery Center to their Keiki Costume Ball. While this children's museum stinks in comparison to the Houston one, we still had a good time. The Oren and Moyer families joined us at this event. There was a carousel, trick-or-treating, and getting to play in the museum. It was a bit crowded and Claire freaks sometimes when there are too many people around. She finally warmed up after her and Justin rode the carousel once. We all ended up in different directions after pizza, but it seems like everyone had a good time.

On Tuesday before Halloween, Claire went on a field trip to the bowling alley with Ms. Diane and her friends. It was cute to watch them all walk up to the bowling alley in their stroller and be dressed in their costumes. How Ms. Diane takes 6 or more of them out in public is beyond me. I couldn't do it!

Last but not least, the 31st! We went over to the Moyer's house for dinner and trick-or-treating! We are so lucky to have such great friends here in Hawaii that make the holidays a fun time. There were about twenty of us that got together with our kids and went running through the neighborhood. We do live in a neighborhood where you have to have 2 or more kids, so most of the houses had their lights off- but they did leave candy out so the kids still got to trick-or-treat. Claire even went up to the doors, which was very surprising!
