2 Months

Dear Claire,

I can’t believe you are two months old. You have changed so much in the past month and it’s going so fast. This month you have grown like crazy. You are still eating every 3 hours, which is helping your cheeks plump up! You let me know when you are hungry and I’m starting to be able to tell your cries apart. You are making cooing noises, showing off your gums, kicking your legs, and waving your arms like crazy!

This month you started to smile. It is the cutest thing and you do it all the time to mommy. You are working on doing it to other people. You also like lying on your play mat and hitting your penguin. He laughs at you when you hit him. Your swing has become your favorite place to nap and you like sitting in your vibrating chair while mommy gets ready for the day.

One of mommy’s favorite things to do is read- it’s the teacher in me! We read books every morning and sing songs. You smile and coo when I do this and it’s so cute.

We have been skpying with tutu and pop a lot and they love seeing you. We get to talk to them all the way in china over the computer. I lay the computer down by you while you play and you watch the screen while they talk.

Mommy booked your first trip to see aunt kim in l.a. for November! Then in December we are going to kingwood for five weeks! We are going to have a very fun fall.

You and me have had a lot of time with each other this month. Daddy had to go back to work for the first time since you were born. He went out to sea for two weeks. I can’t wait for him to see how big you are and what you have been doing. Towards the end of the month you sat in your bumbo for the first time! You are such a big girl.
