Our Trick or Treaters

For several months I thought about what the girls could be for Halloween. I couldn't make up my mind and neither could Claire.

Claire wanted to be a witch and I wasn't a fan of that idea. I wanted them to be a group and that didn't seem to be going over well for Claire. Until one night when we were browsing the computer together and came across this perfect shop on Etsy

Claire thought several of the costumes were so funny and she couldn't stop laughing. We threw around a few funny ideas and then landed on perfection.

Kennedy and Kinley would be sushi and soy sauce and Claire would be the chef who cooks!!!!

It was all Claire could talk about for weeks. Whenever anyone asked what she was going to be for Halloween she would proudly tell them a chef and then her sisters costumes...which would send her laughing.

I won't even lie. We had Claire's costume in our dress up stuff and there were no cuter chef outfits so she wore it and knew no different...probably because when she dresses up she goes more for the princess dresses. She got to wear her costume a couple times because of school events and it just made her so happy.

We got together with a bunch of our friends and had dinner before trick or treating. This was something we all did together last year and it was just fun. The big kids were all in good moods and baby girls, all 5 of them, got strapped in their strollers. The streets were seriously crowded! I'm so confused at what age is it not okay to go beg for candy anymore?!?

Half way through the evening Kennedy and Kinley were asleep while Claire did so good this year. She of course wanted us to go to every door with her and that is fine by me. That was a big improvement from last year. I think it helped there were no crazy spooky houses this year to scare her out of trick or treating.

My attempt at a Japanese tourist eating my sushi!

She was wanting to eat her bag of candy between houses and we had to explain to her that she was going to have to wait until we got home. She was ready to go home pretty quickly and was happy with a small amount of candy. We did make her keep going for a little while because we had a date at the NICU with some of our favorites. The girls got woken up to deliver invitations to their birthday party at the end of November.

Favorite Aunties who took such good care of them
It was a fun night full of fun memories.

I've got big plans for next year that involve our favorite Halloween movie: Hocus Pocus.

Three sisters and three tiny witches?!?!

I want my people to go as witches too! I've already planted the seed with Reese and Ella but they are still convinced that they are going to want to go as princesses again. Lord help us!
