First Trip to the Beach

Over Memorial Day weekend (yep, that was 2 months ago and now that I'm hitting publish that was 3 months ago) we took the girls to Bellows beach with a group of our friends. Bellows is a military beach on one side and public on the other. I like it because it has a nice clean beach, warm water and big waves to ride boogie boards on.

So fun.

We literally packed the entire house. We bought a beach tent even before the girls were born for fear that they would be gone?! I don't know why, but I felt the need to be prepared in November. I started prepping for the beach the night before- packing lunches, getting towels, sunscreen, getting all baby gear {bottles, diapers, wipes, bathing suits for their first dip in the Pacific, bumbos, changes of clothes for all 5 of us, toys, life jacket, boogie boards, and even Claire's travel potty that we use in emergency situations} together and hoping the weather would be good for our adventure.

We got up early and ate breakfast and out the door we went.

It was so windy, but we got the tent set up and little people fed.

Claire splashed in the water and ran in the sand for almost 6 hours. She was worn out by the time we got in the car and out before we left the base.

I can't wait to go back to the beach with all the girls. What will make me really excited is when they can sit up and play. They did sit in their bumbos, drank some milk and slept in the shade. The life!

{NEWSFLASH: When you wait 3 months to hit publish they CAN sit up and we are going to the beach tomorrow. We will have an update on the activities they can participate in!}
