Can I Move Here Too?

I know I've said it before, but I could live here. If I lived like my parents are lucky enough to live I know I could do it!. Their apartment has so many perks and great people. On top of that there are so many great things to see and do all around this city. People can say what they want about the country, but it still is an amazing place to visit. I can't but I can imagine living here.

This week we've done more fun stuff we didn't do last year. On Sunday night my mom had a chef come to their apartment and cook us a 5 course meal. In the states it would have cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. Here it did cost over $100 but for 10 people, he cooks at your house, and cleans up! It was very tasty and enjoyed by all. He is also a cute little man who was published in this magazine, which just makes it so much more fun :)

On Monday we had to make a trip to the clinic which was not as much fun. Claire has been having an issue with a runny nose since the day after we arrived last week. I finally decided we should take her in before we needed to fly home this weekend. I knew if we were at home they would say some back when it's been 10 days. Not going to happen this time. We went in and they gave us some medicine to make her feel better, or the adults feel better. She is fine licking her booger face- me not so much. Everything they did at our clinic at home they did at the SOS clinic. She of course did not enjoy the experience, but wasn't too bad. She did get a couple stickers out of the adventure. One was of a girl with huge boobs and a tiny bikini. It was special. One thing we did see at the clinic that was very unusual was the Texas car registration sticker on a van outside. I did stop and take a picture of it- people were for sure honking their car horns at me.

We made one last stop at the necklace counter. Justin has now pointed out I do not need any necklaces for a very long time. Won't happen but he can wish. I have serious plans for him to make me something to house all my goodies during his free time. Claire finally decided she would talk to the girls who make these jewels and they loved it. Although they did say how heavy she is!

My parents might have the nicest driver ever- another reason I could live here- but only if I had Mr. Yang as my driver. He drives for them from the time my dad goes to work until he goes home, or until after my parents go to dinner. He doesn't even live with his family! He has an apartment closer to this side of town, but he does use it as his studio. He is a painter and holy cow can he paint. I'm going to have to snap some pictures of their art work. Last May he took a picture of my parents and it is now a HUGE painting of them. Where it is going to hang is still a mystery, but it took some time! His wife is also very sweet and they came over Monday night bearing gifts. Strawberries that are the best I've ever had and toys for Claire they are loud :) Claire and Pop had a party before bed that night!

Last night we went to see the acrobats! I was scared that Claire would act like a crazy person, but she actually sat, clapped, and watched the entire show without moving around. She sat on my lap for the first half and then my dad's lap for the second. The pre-show entertainment was a little much, but she handled that clown (literally) like a champ. She got a balloon out of it and tore it apart.
We just got home from eating a duck. I heard my mom make the reservation the other night and just laughed. "Table for 4 and a duck, please". Claire didn't join us for dinner tonight, which was probably best. She stayed home with Pam and played while we enjoyed a delicious meal! The last time I had duck was in Lubbock, Texas while enjoying the night sky at the Texas Tech Hotel Restaurant Management School. Lets just say it was not the same duck.

I hear Claire's favorite word coming out, so it's time to go to bed. Even if she continues to say no....
