Happenings in Texas

This trip has been really fun and we have had a full schedule. Claire started off the trip with a cold and we had to cancel our trip to Dallas. I was sad about it but I couldn't take her to a hotel room.

We have been to Chelseas, Chick-Fil-A, Pappasitos, Sonic, and a million other of my favorite places several times. I'm kind of glad we don't live around them. I would be a blimp. 

Claire is getting chunky. Her little thighs are rolly and squishy. I love them. My mom is enjoying all the time with her and getting the chance to finally squeeze those legs in person.

Claire finally got to meet people from Justin's side of the family: PawPaw, Jo-Jo, Candace, Bella, and Danielle and her girls. I think they all enjoyed getting to meet her. 

She has gotten to wear all sorts of clothes- it's been hot the cold and back again. She doesn't enjoying wearing her jacket very much! Good thing we are staying in Hawaii. We practiced wearing a hat inside one day. 

I have to keep being reminded that this is her first Christmas and she won't remember it but it's just so fun to find her little things she will be able to use in the next month or so. She is so interested in toys that make noise. I went to Lakeshore, a teaching store, the other day and got some stuff. It's so much more than just a teaching store and offers great things that parents can use at home. It was my favorite place when I had a classroom- it could cause a problem.

Anyways, Claire got to open her first Christmas present from her boyfriend the other day. Look how happy she was. Love her. 

My friend Lindsey came to visit us and it was great. My dad and Justin got into town on Sunday. We have a very busy schedule the next 3 weeks. It's going to be great!
