One Month Old

Today we have a one month old! I can't believe it! It seems like last week we were at the hospital getting ready to meet our baby. She has been amazing and we are loving getting to know her.

This month she:

  • Started sleeping in her own crib. She didn't like the bassinet. She loves to take naps in her newborn napper, vibrating chair and on daddy and mommy. She is starting to like the swing a little more.
  • Thought about taking a bottle and pacifier. We are still working on the bottle. She takes it better if someone else beside me gives it to her.
  • Weighed 7 lbs 3 oz when she was born, then 6 lbs 12 oz when we left the hospital, at two weeks she was 7 lbs 5 oz and now according to our scale around 9 lbs. This would be with me weighing myself then getting off and weighing myself with her. Who knows how accurate that really is.
  • She enjoys being swaddled. Hands waving around does not appeal to her.
  • Shown us how unlady like she is :)
  • SMILED. Twice. Once for my mom and once for the camera. Was it gas or a dream? Who knows...but she smiled!
  • Started liking tummy time. She enjoys tummy time more when we are holding her and she can practice lifting her head then when she is on the ground. This might also be because Winston does not understand what is going on and will not leave her alone.
  • Taken a bath and liked it. Who wouldn't like to sit in a warm bath that reminds you of your home for 10 months!
  • Had lots of visitors and enjoyed getting to meet all her new friends

I'm sure there are lots more things I could add. She is growing and changing every day.
