Crazy Week

This week was crazy!

Monday was the first day Claire and I were home by ourselves since she was born. Justin had to go back to work, but he is in a school so we are easing back into his work routine.

Tuesday I took Claire to the doctor for her baby acne or heat rash...I wasn't sure. The doctor told me to leave it alone. I also asked about her stuffy nose, which she told me was fine. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz! This also marked the first night Claire wouldn't sleep. I slept on the couch with her for awhile, then she got in her bed, then she slept in our bed. I know terrible. Sorry about that...we needed sleep. *I also started back on my masters. Am I crazy?!?!

Wednesday I got all my school work done in the morning. I think it will be a good routine of: wake up, feed Claire, go work out (which I can do this week!!), feed her again, shower and do my school work. Nothing exciting happened except Claire slept in her bouncy chair on our floor under a tent of a beach blanket because we didn't want her to get cold and we need the fan on.

Thursday I went to lunch with my friends at school. This is going be our Thursday routine. I need adult interaction and I miss my friends at work. So for a hour a week we are going to visit the first grade classrooms! While visiting them this week Claire got her diaper changed and there was a little blood. I freak out, Monique gets on the floor with me to look in her diaper, and I decide to go to the clinic with the dirty diaper in a ziplock. We had to wait for a hour and we got to see the doctor. In the meantime she did it again. It wasn't a lot, but seriously scared me. So, long story short she's fine and he gave us gas medicine to make her not "blow out" her diaper and told me to go get the nice things to stick in her bottom. I couldn't do it. Justin did it. I laughed. She shot it back out and proceeded to poop and pee on her changing pad/couch. Luckily only pee on the couch. Oh, Claire! *Slept in her chair again.

Friday she cried, I cried, Justin came home from work and I went to the store. Who knew the grocery store would ever sound so great?!?! She loves her daddy though and slept like a little rock for him. He even took her on some errands all by himself :) The best part...he fed her all night long :) *Slept in chair again....this is getting old!

Saturday she started feeling better! FINALLY! We think she might be growing because she is eating all the time it feels like. After she eats she is out again. We have noticed sometime around 5-7 pm she becomes really cranky- but it doesn't last long. Maybe twenty/thirty minutes. *She finally slept in her bed last night! Everyone got a better night sleep knowing she was in her bed and her under the mattress monitor could tell me she was awake and I wasn't bending down to see if she was breathing and sitting up every 20 minutes.

Today we are just going to relax and hang out all day. Right now she is snoring and cooing in her chair while I finish my homework and Justin sleeps.
