Checking Things Off the List

Last week we finally got to go to the doctor together! I really like the doctor I have been going to at Tripler (the Army hospital). I was glad that Justin got to go with me and got to meet her. She was moving around like crazy and the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat right away because she kept moving! FINALLY, after my panic face-which she could see because she kept telling me she could hear her-she found her sitting low. Baby girl has a good heartbeat! At this appointment I also found out I had gained some weight. Normally not something I would brag about- I like my jean size and plan to be back in those jeans I so dearly love-but it's totally worth it!

After the doctor we registered at Target, had lunch, and headed to the next appointment for the ultrasound. It was a really cool ultrasound. We got to see her moving, sitting indian style, taking a breath in, and hear her heartbeat. Everything is working perfectly and she is measuring at a good size. Then we went to Babies R Us to register. There is so much stuff to look at and think about-it's overwhelming at times.

Over the weekend we had a tsunami warning scare. Justin had to go into work and I cried like a baby because I was scared. Who knows why I was so scared...we don't even live in the flood zone. I was probably more nervous about the fact the news kept saying, "You might not have power, you might not have water, the water rushing from the ocean comes at 500-600 mph which is faster than an airplane". All that combined was not fun in my mind. Lucky for Hawaii the tsunami passed without any issues.

Sunday we moved around furniture and cleaned out some stuff in the guest room/now baby room. We measured the area and I ordered baby furniture today! Bed and dresser are checked off the list- the changing table is on backorder and they will email me when it comes in! So exciting!

We are excited to see our families next weekend. I'm glad I got permission to fly-I was a little nervous about that. While we are home we are going to have a baby shower and get to spend time with our parents and friends. Things I'm ready to do/eat at home:

-Family/Friends- just visiting with them and seeing them will be GREAT!
-Chelseas
-Chick-Fil-A
-Pappasitos
-Sonic
-Galleria (Shopping with mom in general)
-Pottery Barn Kids
-Mary to do my nails

I have island fever if you can't tell! One week in Houston will do me good. Just have to get through the next 8 days of work :)

Off to bed! Hopefully this event starts going better for me.
