Update of the Month

I was so good at posting on this...and then I went back to work, am exhausted in the evenings, and would rather play with Claire than write here most days. Then I realized that I write on here to remember what we are doing at this point. So I'm going to update the past month in bullets and then since school is out for the summer I will get better about blogging. We also have very exciting stuff coming up that will be super fun to write about :)

  • Claire turned 22 months in May. How is it possible that she is so big?!?! Almost two and I feel like it as just the other day that I was telling Justin we needed to go to the hospital...I thought! She is becoming more and more independent every day. One day she decided to wear her "wabbits" to school and wouldn't take them off, she has sent me to time out twice now, and she just talks like crazy. I've tried to be better about pulling out the video camera to document all these funny moments.
  • We spent tons of time outside this month. We blew up the pool several weekends, went to the beach, and played at the splash pad with friends. Claire loves being outside and in the water. I'm ready to get to Texas and play in the pool every day. I hope she does okay in Miss Glendy's swim lessons this summer. I'm beginning to get nervous.
  • We celebrated Mother's Day with Nikki, Jeremy, and Bryson by going to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Waikiki.
  • School is out for the summer! Seriously, it's amazing :) My class was fabulous this year, but we were all getting a little summer fever going on. I really will miss my group of 15 students I started the year with. They all made an impact on me in some way.
  • Claire made a trip to the ER for the first time. This deserves it's own post. It was traumatizing for me.
  • Claire also got her "tail" cut off. She has been developing a very out of control rat tail and while some people think they can rock that- she is not one. I avoided it for awhile thinking the rest of her hair would grow and it was- just not very even. She looks so crazy cute with her little pixie cut.
