This post is a few weeks past due, but we've been busy!
Claire turned 19 months old on the 8th. I can't believe she is getting so big. Every single day she is saying or doing something that she wasn't doing before. She is starting to talk with more than one word, she can point and tell me what she wants or where she hurts, she is also very opinionated with what she has to say. She loves to play with her dolls, play in her kitchen, look at and have books read to her, and play outside. We need to get an outdoor climber thing or house for her to play with! I think the Easter Bunny might be bringing that. We were going to wait until summer, but it isn't going to be possible to wait. We have a park outside our fence that she yells at each time we are outside. She also loves the movie Tangled, so much in fact she got a doll and dress so wear when she watches. Bows are her new favorite accessory! Each morning she yells "mommy, daddy" for a good 5 minutes before we can get out of bed. When we get to her room the first thing out of her mouth is "bow". I'm just glad she leaves them in now.
She is eating all kinds of foods. Her favorite fruits are still blueberries and strawberries with some 'nanas thrown in :) She loves dipping stuff in ketchup! It's so gross to watch her eat chicken nuggets or fish sticks when she covers them in ketchup and then licks it off each of her fingers! We have about had it with sippy cups! She would rather drink from a straw. I found these mini red solo cups that have a lid and straw she uses now. They are easier to clean and reuse a time or two than the actual sippy cups with straws.
We have also found a few more teeth coming through. Luckily this round of teeth haven't had her waking up in the middle of the night very much. I'm just glad they're coming. I thought she was missing teeth or something! Her teeth have gotten her in trouble at school the past few months with some biting. It seems to be done and over with. I HOPE! It's seriously my worst fear as a mom to have the biter! I think it's simply because the other kids at daycare are older and she can't tell them no so she bites. I'm not saying it's okay, but seriously if they took my toys I'd bite them too if I couldn't talk :)
She had to go to the doctor for a mystery rash this month so we found out she's 26 pounds. As I'm looking at her right now she looks so tall. Her dresses and shirts are getting too short so I know she's stretching out.
I can't believe how big she is getting. She's turning into a little person with a big attitude. I do love it though :)
Love you little stinker.
