10 Months

Dear Claire,

What a great day to have your 10 month birthday! Today is Mother’s Day and I couldn’t think of a better person to spend both of those events with. We got to wake up early together while Daddy slept in. You got grossly sick for the first time this week. You threw up twice on Daddy but he didn’t get sick until it hit Mommy. Luckily it didn’t last long with you and was worse for us. You smiled through both of your illnesses this month. You also had a pretty bad cold after your nine month visit.

You have done so many fun things this month. You have started saying “yay” and clapping at the same time, waving more, saying mama and dada more directly, screaming when we take toys away, cruising around the furniture, walking with a toy support, shaking your head “no”, eating more solid big baby food, eating more fruits and veggies, drinking more out of a sippy cup, and giving kisses. You got to play in the pool some, go to Gymboree, and celebrate your first Easter this month. You are two taking two naps a day still. Most of the time both naps are about two hours if not more! You are sleeping from 8-7 every night, which is also great.

You are always so sweet and fun to be around. I think this might be my favorite month so far. Everyone comments on how they have hardly ever seen you get upset and it is true. You smile all the time and just love to play. Your favorite toys right now are baby dolls, cars, books, and your activity table. The one thing you don’t like is when we take something away from you. It is usually the time you start screaming!

It’s hard to believe that in just two months you will be a year old I have been planning your party for a few months and I’m really excited! We leave this week to spend three weeks in China! You are going to be a world traveler before you know it.

We love you sweet girl and watching you grow makes us so happy. We watched you today and just laughed at you, which made you do your “tricks” even more. You are changing every day and we love being your Mommy and Daddy.

We love you Stinker,
Mommy and Daddy

Takin her picture was difficult this month...
